Suggest Therapy For Persistent Back Pain

I have had back issues since college. Usually hurts for a few days and then goes away. Started having lower back pain a few days ago and have been waiting for it to go away.

This morning, my entire leg went numb and the pain was extreme. My mother has had sciatica and told me to lay down and put my legs up. The pain has decreased 80% or so, but my leg including my foot are still numb. There is also now radiant pain shooting into my groin region and my testicle is trhobbing.

Is this something I should be concerned enough about to go to the emergency room? Can I wait until my doctor's appointment in a few days?

Hello,

I have studied your case.
You can wait till you get your doctors appointment.
Possibility could be lumbar canal stenosis leading to numbness down leg
Another possibility of lumbar disc compressing nerve root.
Due to compression of this nerve root there can be numbness in leg.
I will advise you to do MRI spine

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, You can consult physiotherapist for help.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
