Hi I am 26 Male diagnosed for ACL ligament injury in Left Knee. This was happened on April 2009 as a result I consulted an orthopedic surgeon he advised me to take rest with a solid plaster all over my leg. After the period of 45 days I was able to manage to walk and later on things were adjustable with me. Dec 2011 I got a knee slip and MRI scan was taken the report is furnished below: IMPRESSION: ACL IS THIN; ORIENTATIONIS NOT PARALLEL TO INTERCONDYLAR ROOF SUGGESTIVE OF INCOMPETENT ACL. TO BE CORRELATED CLINICALLY. DEGENERATION OF POSTERIOR HORN OF MEDIAL MENISCUS NO TEAR. But I even though the Doctor advised me to take up surgery I did not and done ayurveda treatment was quiet manageable these days but, today Sep 2012 I got the same knee slip and pain in the knees I am able to walk with knee support. I am seriously worried and confused please help me out with a solution.

Hello,

Not all knee injuries need to be treated surgically.modt of them can be managed non operatively.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However, I would like to examine & investigate the patient in detail.

Control Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder, if there is any.

Anyway it may be tried

--Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days.
-- Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days.
(You may need the help of your local doctor to get these medicines)
-- Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold air.
-- Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding.
-- Use no pillow under the head.
-- Avoid painful acts & activities.
-- Do mild exercises for back and hips and knees and ankles.
--(Take help of a physiotherapist).
--Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem.
--Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. Kindly make sure, there is no allergy to any of these medicines.
--For emergency treatment visits the nearest hospital.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
