As per your complain a red spot at the site of needle pricking is not an abnormal finding and it occurs due to inflammation caused as a result of soft tissue injury with the needle.. In case if the individual who used the needle had some infection or as it was with the garbage the pricking can cause infection in your body too.. So I would suggest you to consult an Infectious Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and he can advise you blood investigation to rule out for any infection and can treat you accordingly..
