Suggest Treatment For Father Felling Sleepy Always
Hello,Good Morning sir, I am from india and I want to discuss this case related to my father.He is 54 yrs old and around 3 weeks ago he started feeling sleepy all the day and night even after having 8hrs of sleep,whenever he goes to bed he goes to sleep instantly.
Besides,feeling sleepy he also started snoring a lot and last night he was complaining of high bp as he skipped his bp pills and he is a retired personnel and is involved in agency related to LIC

execessive sleeping is pathological only when its affect ur daily routine
Like sleeping while driving
sleeping while eating bathing
sleeping while doing sex etc
This is called narcolepsy
but only excessive sleepiness without much affec daily routine can be treated
Execssive snoring can be due to sleep aponea or difficulty in breathing due to some obstruction
consult 1st pulmonologist for sleep aponea or bp related prb
execessive sleepiness can be conrol by modafinil like drug which is given in morning but u have to use under supervision and better to consult psychiatrist
