Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Hi. Had a fever on Friday. both eyes watering. sore throat. swollen glands under ear/jawline. runny nose mainly clear but a little yellow this morning. nasal congestion with drainage in back of throat. Is it a cold or should I see a doctor?
hi, i gone through your question and understand your concerns. you have got acute upper respiratory tract infection. viral in nature with super imposed bacterial infection. i such patient comes to my clinic with red watery eyes, runny nose, enlaged lymph nodes, sore throat and post nasal drip i would suggest him/her an empirical course of antibiotics(for bacterial as viral infection subside by it self in aweek) like penicillin group if he/she is not allergic to them along with anti allergic+decongestant and paracetamol for a week. you should consult your general physician as these are prescription medicine. you will feel better in a couple of days. hope this helps you.
