Suggest Treatment For Head Injury
My Cousin at Pune has a very serious head injury before 12 days & now is suffering from fever (100-102), Consulting Dr. is Dr. Praveen Jain Right now he is at Sahyadri hospital, Pune, but still unconscious...the medicines & treatment is very very expensive would u please suggest us...what to do...where to go....whom Dr. to consult.... It's very sad to hear that he is still unconscious, for any patient after a head injury if the consciousness is lost and as you said it has passed 12 days, I'm very sorry to say that the prognosis is poor. Patient with ventilatory support at the corporate hospital is an expensive part.
Coming to the patient treatment part, if you take your patient to any government hospital or bigger corporate hospital the treatment will be 99.99% same, as for any severe head injury the prognosis is poor and if some patients improve also its a very slow process it takes weeks or months.
I'm very sorry once again to hurt your emotional feelings, but you should accept the fact what nature has made, that for a severe impact head injury the prognosis is always poor, very rarely persons come out of danger. So give him/her best treatment support you can. Coming to financial aspect if you feel that you don't have any issue in a fundraising campaign then go ahead for it. Lots of people who can't afford are raising the funds and getting their relative's treatment done.
