Suggest Treatment For Hot Flashes During Menopause
Hi, I am 48 year old and I got hep c-1A back in 2005. I have been going through menopause and the hot flash are bad. My regular doctor gave me Premarin 0.625mg and Medroxyprogesterone 2.5mg. The Medroxyprogesterone is bad for the liver. Is there anything I can take to help with the hot flash? And will the hot flash ever go away ? Thank you Dawn
I suggest you take HRT. It can reduce the incidence and severity of hot flashes, and also the risk of osteoporosis. There’s nothing you can do to avoid hot flashes around menopause. But you can stay away from triggers that may make them more frequent or more severe. Common ones include: Stress Caffeine Alcohol Spicy foods Tight clothing Heat Cigarette smoke
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
