Suggest Treatment For Irregular Lining Of Grey Matter In Cleft
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... my two year old mri result shows left parietal region cleft is noted at the cortical surface. the cleft has a thin irregular lining of grey matter. pls help whats the treatment
Thin cortical grey matter in the left parietal region does not require any specific treatment. It is to be evaluated if your child has any symptoms arising out of it. This can be anything from delayed milestones, seizures, cognitive problems (to be evaluated at higher age), or any other form of sensory or motor neurological deficit. If there is such a problem then it can be correlated to thinning of cortical grey matter in left parietal lobe and an EEG might also be necessary. As of now it would be important to discuss why was MRI required for your child.
