After an MRI scan and then an Ultrasound, I have just been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst on each ovary. The diagnosis: 1.9 cm right ovarian cyst appears simple. The cystic lesion with mural nodularity in the left ovary is 3 x 4 cm. I am 75 years old and would not have known about these without the MRI & Ultrasound. I do have a little gas from time to time. What should I do?
The only option available to treat the ovarian cyst is surgical intervention provided it is necessary. In case there are simple ovarian cysts without any significant symptoms, they can be kept under observation. I do not think the little gas have any connection with an ovarian cyst.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
