Suggest Treatment For Severe Backpain

Hi there my husband as had server back pain now for nearly 4 yrs, he had difficulty in walking and as to use wheelchair and walking stick. He had a mri done about 2 yrs ago which showed a mid-line fussion defect, our docs say that his discs are fussing together. He as now noticed that his muscles in his legs are going flabby- we are getting no where with our docs- what do you think it could be???

1.You have already got done the MRI which was needed, and findings are there, but no active treatment is happening - this is what i understood.
2.The reason could be, there might be some underlying medical conditions which are not supportive to take any active intervention / operation.
3.Age could be one of the factor where the doctor only can give some symptomatic treatment.
4.So be with the treating doctor - if you feel he is fine, responsible and answering your questions.
5.If you are not satisfied with doctor you will never get satisfied with treatment, so do the possible things you can do.
