Swollen Palatoglossal Arch, Pain On Swallowing, Excessive Snoring. Treatment Options?
Hi, I believe I have a swollen palatoglossal arch. It hurst when I swallow but not too bad and it just feels like it is swollen where post nasal drip happens. It is worst when I am lying down and sleeping. I don t snore a lot normally but because of this now, I snore loudly and often. So often that I can hear it before I fall asleep.
You require evaluation by an ENT doctor, to decide the significance of swollen palatoglossal arch. If it is causing an obstruction to your breathing, they may decide to perform a corrective surgery. This would relieve you of snoring too.
Your sleep quality would also improve after treatment.
