Taking Microgynon And Antibiotics. Have Abnormal Bleeding. Cervical Cancer?
Hi i have a problem.....I started taking the pill microgynon 11 days ago and also started taking it the first day of my period. I have also started taking antibiotics the last 3 days alongside the pill due to a long running case of abnormal green/yellow discharge . My worry is because ive obviously stopped my normal period but have kept bleeding abnormally and its not a normal red blood its more like a thick black/brown blood. Ive read things online and am worried it could be cervical cancer as I also feel a lot of pain during intercourse.
The symptoms you are experiencing can clearly be associated with the infection you are being treated for.
Dyspareunia (painful intercourse) is also a symptom that can be associated with such infections; although it can have various causes to it, including cancer.
My advise would be to complete the course of antibiotics, get re-tested to ensure the infection is gone and then get a pap smear done which can help rule out/diagnose cervical cancer.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
