Teenager. Weight Loss Due To Limited Food Intake, Gained Back. Height Not As Much As Other Family Members. Due To History Limited Food Intake?

14.5 years old, rght now. i am about 5'1, 105 pounds. about 3.5 years ago i lost about 8 pounds (about 76 down to 68) over a little under 6 months from basically not eating enough. i regained the weight in only a couple months, but in the 2 years after regaining weight i have not grown as much as my brother did at this age. i'm about two inches shorter than he was at my age, whereas before we were growing at basically the same pace. could this be attributed to not getting enough food 3-4 years ago, even though i gained it back quickly? projected 5'7 adult height. brother is grown up, he is 5'9. dad is 5'9, mom is 5'4. dad was late bloomer too, but i dont know excactly his height/weight at my age. can i expect to catch up heightwise, or what? thank you.

Hello jackbrudvig,
You are only 14.5 years old and the variations in your weight is quite within normal parameters. There is nothing to be alarmed about. Since your brother and dad are all tall people, there is no evident reason for you to have a reduced height and weight. It is too premature to project and feel anxious about the worst possibilities. Do proper exercise, do eat good and nutritious food and you will be gaining weight and height. It appears that you are not suffering from any disease. If at all you have anything please do not take chemical drugs which may reduce your appetite and make problems.
I am a Homoeopath and advise you to adopt Homoeopathic treatment whenever you feel like getting your immunity improved.
