i am a 34 yr old female, married for last 12 years with c/o infertility .in 2010,my tsh level was 116micro IU. but i couldnt continue the medications for long,i got my thyroid profile done again in july,2012.the report is T3=1.21ng/ml; T4=10.70 microgram/dl;TSH=10.37microIU/ml.please advice me proper dosage of eltroxin .
When T-3 & T-4 level in the body are low, anterior pituitary secrets more TSH to stimulate thyroid gland to produce more T-3 & T-4.
Thus as soon as you your Serum levels of T-3 and T-4 become normal due to oral thyroxine intake, your serum TSH level will become normal.
As treatment is to be taken under supervision of your physician, you should please contact your physician for proper dose of eltroxin.

Thyroid Profile Done. Want To Know Proper Dosage Of Eltroxin
Hi, Welcome to HCM, Endocrine functions of Thyroid gland are regulated by anterior pituitary gland. TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) is a hormone secreted by anterior pituitary gland. It stimulates thyroid gland to produce triiodothyronine (T-3) and thyroxine (T-4).
