Twisted Cyst On Ovary, Hot Flushes, Night Sweats. Had Laparoscopic Surgery. Menopausal?

Hi
I had laparoscopic surgery 16 days ago to remove a twisted cyst on right overy with most of the ovary and on my left a cyst removed but there wasn't any sign of an ovary. I have been having continus hot flushes and night sweats since last week
Is this normal or is there a chance I could be going into early menopause this quickly after surgery and if so seems the small portion of ovary tissue left has died

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
If some part of any of your ovary is left it is not usual to get the menopausal symptoms.
If both your ovaries are removed completely then there is possibility of hormonal imbalance.
You once go for repeat ultrasound and find out if any remnants of ovarian tissue is present or not.
If nothing is found and the symptoms persist you may need hormone replacement therapy.
