Ultrasound Done Due To Irregular Periods. Are The Findings Normal?
Hello. I had an ultrasound done due to irregular periods. The report states that I have an endometrial thickness of 10mm with an echogenic appearance and myometrium is mildly heterogeneous. There was a dominant cyst/follicle on right ovary and simple fluid in the posterior cul-de-sac. I am wondering if these are all normal findings because I am thinking of have a third child. Thanks!
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Endometrium thickness is within normal limit and you can conceive. As you mentioned that there is dominant follicle on right side ovary so this is a good thing . Also there is a cyst, for this consult a gynecologist and get his opinion. However sometimes cyst resolves itself , this is not a cause of concern. If there is any dysfunctional bleeding or irregular bleeding or heavy due to cyst then you must consult gynecologist . Good luck. Dr. HET
