Autoimmune disease is a result of misreading of your body's own cells or products as foreign (Non - Self). This misreading can happen due to various factors.This result in a exaggerated response of our immune system towards self. T - cell receptor (TCR), B-cell receptor(BCR) Human Leukocyte antigen (HLA) Major Histocompatibility complex (MHC) are all a part of this immune mechanism to ward of what they consider as foreign antigens.
