What Are The Benefits And Side Effects Of Saaz Ds Tablet For Joint Pain?
For the past 1 month I am having severe joint pain. All my small and big joints have been afftected, worst aremy both knees and the small joints of my fingers. Blood tests for RA, Anti CCp, DS DNA, ANF show negative results. My doctor has prescribed Saaz D , Amitrin and HQSD. My question is that my RA test is negative then also should I take Saaz D? Will I get benefit? Does it have side effects?
Based on the history, you seem to be suffering from 'seronegative type of arthropathy' for which your doctor has prescribed the treatment. 1. Yes, you have to take Saaz-D even if your RA test is negative. 2. Saaz-D makes your immune system function normally and gives relief from the symptoms such as pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints. 3. Generally it is well tolerated by most of our patients, however it may cause nausea, vomiting, leukopenia, anemia, weight loss, allergic reactions and oligospermia (low sperm count).
You should consult with your doctor if any of these side effects do resolve with time or get worse. Your doctor would advise you how to reduce or prevent these symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
