Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Thyroid hormones are very relaible in making the diagnosis of over or under active thyroid.
I can understand your concern but unfortunately is not recommended to start treatment only by symptoms and signs.
Laboratory confirmation is mandatory.
You should talk to your physician and try to find out other causes for your symptoms.
As you have a family history for thyroid diseases you should check the thyroid hormones every 2-3 years.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
