What Are The Precautions Needed For A Knee Injury While Traveling?
hello, i have ACL tear grade III tear at my left knee, doctor have recommeded for surgery but then after that i have to take bed rest, but as already i have tour plan with family, i am going out with my family and hence i postpone my surgery so what is the care i have to take now on tour

Hi, I understood your query. Actually to travel with a ligament injury may exaggerate your problem.So to s post pone your tour will be the best,because knee is a weight bearing joint & any weakness in this joint may cause restrictions in future. still, if you are determined to go,you should- -Give rest to knee while not on legs by-raising the knee, reduce the pain/inflammation by putting ice pack while resting & anti inflammatory pills ( Ibuprofen-paracetamol). - You can use crutches,cane. Knee splint with your doctor's advice would help you most. - Avoid long walks, hill climbing,running, Take care. Thanks.
