my son has had a sore throat and a cough and fever and very tired for a week now. He was just at a walk-in sunday night but still has everything. What should I do? School nurse told me to have him checked for strep and the walkin did that and it was negative.

I am sorry that your son is still not feeling well. It's good that the strep test was negative on Sunday. Keep in mind, however, that exams can change. Considering it's been a few days and his symptoms have persisted, I would have him re-checked. A repeat strep test could potentially be positive. Even if it isn't, another diagnosis may be arrived at.
