Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Problems Due To Broken Bones In Wrist?
I fell at work today and landed on my right hand. 5 years ago I broke my right wrist. I went to Urgent Care and they took several X-rays that came up unreadable due to calcium build up and severe arthritis. I was told that there are several small bones in the wrist that if broken, the blood flow could be cut off and could create serious problems. What would these problems be?
Weak bones due to low calcium is more prone to fracture. Loss of blood supply of wrist bones lead to arthritis. This causes pain full. Movements and pain at night time. I would recommend you to get repeat x ray.. Do not worry about loss of blood supply of bone if you are having no symptoms since 5 years.
