Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns. The blood sugar level is too high to normal. Better is to get him to hospital and get managed with short acting insulin for few days under the guidance of doctors there. After a while when it gets controlled, you can swift to mixtard insulin and take home and control the sugar levels normally at home. Higher blood sugars ave many complications of retinopathy, neuropathy nephropathy... Almost all the systems gets effected.
