Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell on ice several weeks ago. I came down very hard on my knee, which caused lots of pain. I had the knee x-rayed and no fractures were found. Today I went to the chiropractor and she thinks the tibula is twisted. What needs to be done if this is so? Would this not have shown on the x-rays?
If there is no fracture, only supportive measures are required. Immobilize the limb in a splint or brace for one week's help for pain relief. Warm compression can also help for faster recovery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
