Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has been diagnoised with herpes whitlow. She has had 6 outbreaks that cause her to get a blood infection. she is then on iv antibiotics for three or four days. Does this sound like herpes to you? Her finger that she has it in has very little feeling now and is always red and wrinkled when without an outbreak. Please help, what is the best way to find out for sure what it is? This whole thing started with a paper cut
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your daughter you have not explained the lesion in detail as far as the skin lesion are concern that always demand the clinical examination and without this the diagnosis is not possible, if your are suspecting herpes then just do nothing this would come around on its own, better to see the dermatologist, have a nice day.
