What Causes Blood Clots From Nose In Diabetic Patient?
hi Dr, am a diabetic patient since the last 13 years and am now at the age of 34. Am on insulin, but my sugars are never controlled. this morning after i woke up and during brushing, while i sneezed, there were blood clots flowing out and when i cleared my throat too there was clots of blood from my moutn. do you think that it has anything to do with diabetis? is it something to worry much?
There has been some bleeding in the area of nasopharynx in the back of your nose. It may occur with severe sneezing in which case it should have resolved by now. If it is persisting or recurring you should see an Ear Nose Throat specialist as it is from a lesion there. Diabetes is not a direct cause but uncontrolled diabetes increases the chances of infections. Wish you good health.
