What Causes Burning Sensation In Upper Middle Part Of Stomach After Diagnosed For H Pylori?
Tested positive for h pylori......finished 14 days of antibotics.....was feeling fine and now 3 days later I have horrible burning sensation in my stomach area in the upper middle part. How can I get relief? I have taken tums but does not help....can hardly eat. Thanks
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare magic. With this presentation, I think peptic ulcer disease is the diagnosis. In a majority of people, it is caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. Since you have taken antibiotics for 14 days, I would suggest that you take proton pump inhibitors (Prilosec OTC) and antacids for about a month. You also need to adopt some life style changes like avoiding alcohol, caffeine-containing foods and fatty foods. I hope I have answered your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I wish you good health
