Symptoms: 3 colds in past 3 months, each lasts about 3 weeks, comes back one week later. Starts with sore throat, that goes away after about 3 days, then continous running nose and deep harsh cough with yellow mucus discharge..no fever...tired of this stuff...no history of allergies.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query, you have symptoms of cold since 3 months which seems to be due to poor immunity of your body, exposure to allergens and persistence of respiratory tract infection.
You need not to worry. I would suggest you to take steam inhalation on daily basis and do warm saline gargles. Avoid intake of cold beverages and sharp spicy food.
Visit ENT (Ears, Nose, and Throat) specialist once and get it examined. Go for blood and sputum test and start treatment accordingly. Take proper course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medicines after proper prescription. Take throat lozenges.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
