What Causes Cold Extremities While Suffering From Hypothyroidism?
my left hand is very warm, but my right hand is ice cold... I notice this seems to happen quite often. I am 22yo male with hypothyroidism which I treat daily with synthroid, my levels are checked regularly and up to date, but this is the only thing I could think of. Although I have been a bit of a caffeine junky lately and I wonder if cafeine could also be a cause. Any ideas?
Hi dear user I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
If your recent level of thyroid tests ( TSH, T3,T4)are within the normal range ,this means that with the actual dose of Levothyroxine, you are in euthyroid state.
Your condition with one arm warm and the othe ice cold ,can not be explaned with the hypothyroidism ,in the case if your results show hypothyroidism.
My advice is to meet an neurologist in your area because in my opinion this problem can be caused by a neurological condition.
Hope i have answered to your question. If you have other question i will be happy to help. Wish you good health.
