What Causes Cough With Running Nose?
About a week ago my 13 year old daughter got a very bad head cold with very runny nose and a slight cough, headaches, a mini fever. Now everything has gone away except for her cough, the cough gets worse and worse,it never lightens up. Most times she coughs every time the air hits her throat she automatically coughs, sometimes her cough will sound very mucusey or very painful. Also she sounds very congested but she isn't, she still sometimes has a runny nose. I don't know if I should go to the doctor or just wait it out and what is a possible diagnosis?

You should take her to a doctor , if her cough still persists she should be examined to rule out lower respiratory tract infection.
