What Causes Excessive Mood Swing?

my daughter has been experiancing very dramatic mood swings, from very high to very low .this has gradually progressed for 7-8 months .that was when she had it implanted. she even threatens suicide, she doesnt care about the baby,and she lost her job because she just cant seem to function. could this be because of mirena

Dramatic mood swings can be symptoms of mood disorder. Feeling very high to very low are classical symptoms of a condition called 'Bipolar disorder'. Her symptoms are not because of 'Mirena'.

You should have your daughter evaluated by a psychiatrist. You daughter will require lithium. If she is feeding the baby, instead of lithium valproate or carbamazepine may be prescribed.
