What Causes Feeling Of Flickering Light In The Eyes And Fever?

I am currently experiencing a mild, I have notice my vision seems a little screwy after about a week of this and now I see that if I strain to see things at the periphery of my vision, not only is it uncomfortable, I see tiny flickering lights, in all directions. Is that something I should let my doctor know about on next visit, which is Friday? He is a GI doc so I m not sure he ll be interested in talking about that issue, though in my mind it is related. Thanks--Dalton

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having flickering of lights in the eyes.
This indicates flashes of light and requires evaluation to find out the underlying cause. The common causes are retinitis, vitritis or retinal thinning and retinal degenerations.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
