Hi, thanks for posting the concern in the HCM.
My understanding is, 3 repeated negative
pregnancy test suggest that there is very less chance of uterine pregnancy. However, ectopic pregnancy must be ruled out. In addition, other causes of
irregular menstruation or delayed menstruation should also be ruled out, e.g. fibroid, any other space occupying lesion (SOL), any ovarian pathology, gastro-intestinal pathology,
pancreatic disease should also be ruled out. Pregnancy does not normally cause hardening of the upper abdomen in the early trimester.
Further clinical examination and investigations are needed to come to a diagnosis.
You should immediately consult your local gynaecologist for further evaluation.
You may need the following tests-
1. USG whole abdomen(if the hardening is in the lower part only, USG lower abdomen would suffice)
2.
Complete blood count, urea,
creatinine, electrolytes, fasting TSH, LFT, amylase, lipase (if found necessary by the consultant doctor)
Please avoid sleeping on the stomach.
Maintain good oral hydration and high fibre healthy diet in small amount at frequent intervals.
For any further information please write back directly to me,
Regards,
Dr. Kaushik
