I ve been having a constant low-grade headache, seems to be pain over my left eye socket, for a couple of weeks. Sometimes the pain will worsen, and expand to include the right forehead and the top of my head as well, also back left of the head, where I hit my head and got a moderate concussion 2 years ago. Occasionally, when the room is dark, and I move my eyes quickly all the way to the left, I ll see a quick flash of a ring of white light, appears to be on the right side of my left eye. Moving my eyes quickly all the way the other direction, the ring is much fainter, and not complete. My eyesight is blurry, which I ve mostly put down to eyestrain, too much time at the computer, etc., but today my right eye started having some double vision and worse blurriness (minor doubling, e.g., line of text has faint doubling of letters above the printed ones. Last, it could be somewhat my imagination, but bright lights and whites seem a bit dimmer viewed with the right eye, and faintly, ever so faintly yellowed. I ve had vision migraines before, but with no pain. I rarely get headaches, except when I have a sinus infection. These headaches are not typical of sinus headache. As well, though I had constant, then chronic, then regular headaces in the first year after the concussion, over the past year I ve had almost none until the last two weeks. Like many people, I have no health insurance, and right now, no money either. Not an exaggeration....I have to pay rent in the next two days, and have less than $50 dollars to my name. A LOT less if you count the debt.... Yes, well, there s a huge amount of stress involved on all sorts of levels, depression (for which I take Nardil [phenelzine], and that I usually drink daily, and often too much. If it weren t for the eye flashes, and the sudden re-occurrence of pain in where I hit my head, I wouldn t be particularly concerned, all things considered. But, your site popped up, and so I figured, what the hell. No insult intended, and many thanks for any help you are able to provide, even hints on whether there are vision clinics or resources in the San Diego area, All best, Karen
