What Causes Heavy Bleeding And Pain During The Periods?
Hi, I had my iud inserted on 18th June n started my period on 16th July, I didn't had any pain for first 3 days and I had light bleeding. But from my 4th day I am bleeding heavily and having too much pain. Can u pliz tell me if everything is going all right as I am worried about my health.
The pain and cramps after IUD insertion may be felt due to the the natural result of body adjusting to the device particularly during the 1st month after insertion of IUD. There may be heavy bleeding or light bleeding (May be just spotting) during the first 3-6 months after the insertion of IUD. This is normal side effect of IUD insertion. If the heavy bleeding is within first 20 days of IUD insertion, then usually PID may be a cause. This pelvic inflammatory disease may be due to IUD also.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
