What Causes Lightheadedness?

Been experiencing lightheadedness for the pat 9 months. Been to several doc s, ER twice, and now neuro. All blood work has come back fine Ct scans twice has come back fine, and MRI has came back fine also. Doc s and ER treated for panic attacks. But, I kept telling them it was more that I just didn t feel that was correct. Nero treated me for Pathelegic Migraines which I have had headaches all my life, but not like this, this is totally diifrent. Symptoms are as follows: Lightheadedness (Drunken Feeling) Neauses, but never vomit Ache just above the ear Neck Stiff (but always has with headaches) Forearm weakness Overall fatigue And when the lightheaded starts I get Nervous feeling, and heart rate increases sometimes , but not always. This happens mostly 30 minutes to an hour after eating or while driving for some reason.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

First of all,you should measure your blood pressure and fasting blood glucose. If your blood pressure was high, you would receive the medical treatment, decrease salt and fat intake,do lipid profile,do an ECG and an ECHO on your heart.

Moreover,if your fasting blood glucose is more than 110 mg/dl,you should ask an endocrinologist for help.

Second, the Vitamin B complex deficiency can cause similar symptoms,so you can eat healthy food or take vitamin B complex supplement once per day after meal, besides Benfotiamine 40 mg twice per day after meals.

Third, the hormonal therapy for contraception or the replacement therapy in women can cause similar symptoms,so you can a gynecologist for help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dr/Mustafa
