What Causes Meniscus Tear With Collateral Ligament Sprain?

I did a 180 degree side split on black ice. The MRI says I have 2 meniscus tears, a Mild sprain of medial collateral ligament & moderate chrondromalacia Pattella softening. Could these symptoms be caused by this split being done by a 300 woman who didn't stretch?
