What Causes Nosebleed After Being Hit In The Head?

Thanks. My daughter is across the country in a soccer tournament. She is a petite 14 1/2 year old, 4'10.5"...She was playing 2 days ago and some "big girl" (aren't they all?) hit her (accidentally I assume) very hard in the back/side of her neck. She had a big headache for 30 seconds (this is from her text...) and then got a nosebleed. She felt fine by the time she told me. She was fine yesterday. Today she still feels fine but just told me she got another nose bleed when playing today. She's now out with her team and feels fine. Any concerns?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. This is of concern...especially after having a trauma. I suggest you not to scare her or get scared..but kindly get her examined thoroughly with a paediatrician along with BP check and complete neurological examination. She "might" require a scan. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
