What Causes Pain Around Right Eye With Numbness And Tummy Problems After A Head Injury?

Hi, i hit my head on a shelf at work on wed, the right side above eyebrow, and since then have felt sick and dizzy, i visited the doc on sat morn and he said i have mild concussion and to monitir ot, got quite a bad headache today and pain around right eye, numbness too and tummy problems, is this normal

I can understand your concern. The concussion can cause headache, forgetfulness, confusion, tingling sensations in extremities for 14 to 21 days. The symptoms usually resolve on its own. No need to worry.

Regarding your pain around right eye that is because of direct hit. It may cause swelling and bruise(redness). You can take

: Painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: You can apply icepacks 3-4 times daily
: Avoid pressure
: Wait for 10-14 days, it will subside on its own

Tummy problems usually don't occur because of concussion. Sometimes gastritis or upper abdominal pain can occur due to stress or painkiller medication. If you are having similar complaint, you can

: Take Pantoprazole after proper prescription
: Avoid fatty, spicy food
: Avoid coffee, sweets, chocolate, alcohol and smoking
: You can have milk
