What Causes Pain Behind The Arm And Neck Of A Diabetic?
My wife is a diabetic for the last 25 years and is now taking insulin, Actrapid in the morning and afternoon and insulin Mixtard 50 before dinner. For the last 5 days she is having pain in her left arm and just behind the neck. Her ECG is normal. Troponim - I result is Negative. The Artho doctor has prescribed Renerve Plus in the morning for six days and Maxgalin M 75 in the night for six days. The diabetologist gas prescribed her Tryptomer 10 mg for the night for 15 days. Can all these three tablets be taken simultaneously? Possible side effects?? Her age is 57 years and weight is 63 kgs.
Dear Sir, The treatment given by both doctor's is good but follow any one. Personally i would prefer Renerve plus and typtomer 10mg. Now these tablets will relieve her of the current pain but the reason for this pain has to be found out. First and foremost are her sugars under control? secondly does she have pain while lifting her arm? the symptoms you mentioned are suggestive of a frozen shoulder which is very common in diabetes. If that's the case she would need physiotherapy and just medicines will not help her. I prefer not to combine maxgalin and tryptomer. Tablets prescribe are safe. Please check her sugars fasting and post prandial. For any further guidance I am always here. Dr.Riyaz Sheriff
