What Causes Pain While Urinating?

Hi I'm 32, 250 lbs, 5'4, and big boned. I'm female, I have pain while going to the bathroom. This pain is located in the same area one might have pain during their period, or when having contractions. I had a c-section almost 11 years ago, and I'm not sure if this pain is tied to this fact or not. I do know that I never had these pains before I had my daughter. I do also have an IUD, so I'm not sure if that is what's causing it, but I've never had these kinds of pains before about a year ago, and I've had my IUD much longer. Any ideas of what might be wrong?
