What Causes Recurring Ear Pain, Excess Wax And Neck Pressure?

I have had an ear ach for over a year. I was given drops for the pain and antibiotic for presumed infection. I get constant head aches, excess sticky ear wax, and neck tension. I resently had an old cavity filled and found a hard lump directly under that molar next to my jaw line. is that what is causing all my pain and discomfert, or is it a result of these symptoms? I am 27, 5 5 , 125lbs

Hello!,

Your symptoms could also be related to temporomandibular joint inflammation.

Is the pain triggered by eating or mouth opening? This would indicate possible TMJ inflammation.

A brain CT scan may be needed, coupled with some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
