Scaly rashes can occur due to
vitamin B12 deficiency. Take supplements or food that contain vitamin B12 like eggs, low fat milk, cheese, yogurt, liver, chicken, fishes, shellfish, etc. Take vitamin D in appropriate amounts regularly, vitamin D deficiency also causes such symptoms. Other medical conditions that may cause such symptoms are dry skin, allergy, dermatitis, psoriasis.
Take antihistamines for relieve. Apply a water based moisturizer, or a herbal moisturizer/ body lotion after bath before the skin dries up. Avoid rubbing or scratching.
Hydrocortisone cream when applied topically is also good for dermatitis. Oatmeal baths are helpful.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a
dermatologist, get skin (biopsy) done for examination under a microscope. This helps determine the type of psoriasis. You may need treatment with
corticosteroids or retinoids or
laser therapy. Get treated at the earliest.
