My wife had a grand mal seizure a week after being bitten by a dog in 2008. Since then she has had eight seizures--always in her sleep. She was treated in an emergency room for the dog bite and is being treated with Depakote for her seizures (she has had a CatScan, two MRIs and a series of EEGs). Could there be any relation to the onset of seizures and the dog bite?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, it is totally irrelevant the history of dog bite and Grand mal seizure, once the case being diagnosed for Grand mal seizure and treatment started then it very unlikely to have bout of seizure again and in the night it is not possible, if this is the seizure like activity then it need to ruled out for hysteria, and cause would be fear of dog bite, hope this information helps take care and have a nice day.
