What Causes Severe Headaches Which Feel Like Something Burst Inside ?

few wks ago my head felt like something burst inside. immediately hatd headaches. this happened during the night. got up to go to the bathroom, almost fell a few times and needed assistance like holding on to the walls etc this continued for the rest of the night and most of the morning. same thing happened a few wks later. went to er and had chest xray, ct scan, ekg blood work and all turned out neg,,,,,,,,recommended neurologist for mri. is this something I should be concerned with? thanks

There are many causes of headaches. From the symptoms that you have described, it seems that you have the worst headache in your life.

In such a scenario, the Doctor does an MRI to rule out a sub arachnoid hemorrhage. It is entirely possible that the MRI comes back negative.

In the case that the MRI is negative, then you might haves a migraine. A migraine is a chronic and repetitive headache. It occurs due to a trigger factor; something like cold, noise, heat and so on.

Here are a few things you can do:
Avoid trigger factors
Drink lots of water
Take 2 tablets of Paracetamol a day when you get the headache.
