What Causes Sore Throat, Fever And Red Dots On Chest?
Hi, for the past 5 days I have been sick, with a sore throat and fever. about two days into it I got red dots that are not raised on my chest and torso and a few on my face and arms. the doctor tested me for Strep and it was negative. Should I be worried about the red dots. I am starting to feel better and they are still there
Here you are having acute viral infection of posterior pharynx as a sore throat....
In viral infection rash can occur.... Examine your cervical lymph nodes and CBC if reveal any other abnormality....
Take antihistaminic tablet for rash and congestion. Salt hot water gargles done.... Calamine lotion or topical steroid can be applied over it.... Drink more water... Excess spicy food avoided.... Rest done.
If rash increasing then consult physician for further work up.
