What Causes Stomach Soreness?
I have had an upset stomach since January 2014. No nausea/vomiting/diarrhea or pain. Just an uncomfortable sour stomach feeling. It comes and goes. Sometimes I can go a few weeks with no symptoms and then suddenly it comes back. I will be getting an ultrasound and seeing a GI specialist but I m curious as to if my Mirena IUD could be the cause. I had it inserted a month prior to my symptoms

Your problem doesn't seem to be related to the IUD that you placed.
These symptoms are not too common with IuDs.
Your decision to go for a UGI endoscopy and ultrasound abdomen is right . in addition get a urea breath test to rule out h pylori infection.
At presn t take tablet rabeprzole 20mg once daily to release your symptoms.
