What Could Cause Bleeding And Cramping Mid Cycle While Being On Loestra?

I have been on loestra 24 since December, about nine months. I have not had any bleeding since January. My doctor was not concerned about this. This month I have had bleeding and cramping mid cycle. I did miss a few pills- maybe two but not in a row. What is going on?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

Cramping pain is common phenomenon after Loestra tablet, I think that a course of Norethisterone 5mg for 10 days will be required to control inter-menstrual bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
