I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and the doctor said that everything looked good on the ultrasound. Today I have noticed white tissue in my urine and sometimes with a few with a little bit of blood. The doctor said I have a polyp in my cervix. Could this be the cause of it.
Hi It is nice to know that ultrasound confirmed healthy pregnancy. During pregnancy due to the effect of pregnancy hormones there can be increased vaginal discharge.(Please note that normal vaginal discharge is whitish, not foul smelling and not associated with itching). This vaginal discharge is sometimes passed along with urine. That is what you are seeing as white tissue. The blood supply to the pelvic organs is increased in pregnancy. Little bit of blood you are seeing is in all probability due to the cervical polyp. This bleeding may increase if you have intercourse. Are you regular with your pap smears. If not please do one now just for reassurance. I hope I have answered to your satisfaction. If you have any further queries do contact me through healthcare magic.
