Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding cough and cold followed by pain in shoulder during breathing and headache with infection in ear and unable to hear from left ear.

By your clinical history and co-relating them with possible pathological development it appears as most likely you were having upper respiratory tract infection involving nose and sinuses and throat, but now this had extend to involve lower respiratory system and left sided pleura or lung had involve which is paining on deep respiration. At the same time infection from throat had extend to ear through eustachian tube and giving you feeling of heaviness left ear with loss of hearing.

To confirm the above possibility you should do these basic investigations-

1- X-Ray paranasal sinuses.

2- X-Ray chest.

3- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

4- Gram's staining of throat swab.

5- Audiometry (pure ton & impedance audiometry)

6- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (F & PP).

With the help of inferences of above investigation and their co-relation with findings of physical examination by your doctor final diagnosis may be made and that can be treated accordingly.

Regards.
